Sarah Oyler, DNP, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner specializing in dermatology and practicing in Fairfax, VA. She received her bachelor’s degree with high honors in nursing from New York University in New York, NY. Sarah received her master’s degree in nursing and her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. She is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Association.

Sarah Oyler treats all general medical dermatology conditions for patients of all ages and provides various aesthetic and cosmetic dermatology services and procedures. Sarah received her dermatology training in New York City under the direction of Dr. Tinklepaugh and his colleagues and worked as a nurse practitioner while assisting general dermatology providers and dermatologic surgeons with all aspects of dermatology care. Sarah has published 14 peer-reviewed original articles and clinical research papers. Sarah has been a guest lecturer at New York University College of Nursing and has presented at various national and international conferences. Prior to practicing dermatology, Sarah specialized in and practiced neurology with a focus on movement disorders (e.g. Parkinson’s disease) for over 10 years in New York, NY and Salt Lake City, UT. Sarah has a particular interest in the cutaneous manifestations of neurologic disease including small fiber neuropathy and synucleinopathies.

Sarah is originally from Gettysburg, PA and grew up between Gettysburg and Portland, OR. Much of Sarah’s extended family lives in Northern, VA and she is pleased to be a healthcare provider near her family. She is a founding partner of Aesthetic Dermatology and Mohs Surgery and in her spare time is an avid skier and tennis player. She and her husband (Adam J. Tinklepaugh, MD) live in Faifax, VA and enjoy traveling and spending time with their families from Virginia to Oregon.
