Adam J. Tinklepaugh, MD is a dual board-certified dermatologist and Mohs micrographic surgeon, and dual fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon and cosmetic dermatologic surgeon practicing in Fairfax, VA.
Sarah Oyler, DNP, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner specializing in dermatology and practicing in Fairfax, VA.
At Aesthetic Dermatology and Mohs Surgery (ADAMS), our mission is to provide the highest quality dermatology care, always and only with the best interests of our patients in mind and in practice. Our goal is to address our patients’ skin health concerns and treat their skin conditions accurately and effectively with honesty, integrity, and transparency.
Our practice specializes in complete dermatology care with a focus on skin cancer screening, prevention, and treatment. Additionally, we provide a broad range of general, surgical, and aesthetic dermatology services and treatments for all skin conditions and patients of all ages.
Our physicians are American Board of Dermatology board-certified dermatologists and fellowship-trained, board-certified dermatologic surgeons. Our nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, medical assistants, and clinic staff are all expertly trained and have many years of experience in the field of dermatology. We take pride in our friendly, knowledgeable, and supportive medical team.

If you have ever been to a dermatologist’s office, you may have experienced one or more of the following: long wait times, a rushed visit, or many return visits to treat the same condition. While these experiences are common at dermatology offices, it doesn’t mean they have to be the norm and you will never find this style of practice at our office.
Although we exist in a fee-for-service healthcare system, this structure does not guide the ethos of our practice and we hope to become an exemplar for sustainable, effective, and cost-conscious healthcare. We aim to achieve this goal and improve the overall experience for our patients and their referring healthcare providers while continuing to provide the absolute highest quality of care.

Our friendly front desk coordinators and medical staff are always available during office hours to answer phone calls, emails, and messages. We believe that quick and direct communication and accessibility for patients and between healthcare providers are integral components of quality healthcare. We are a small, local, provider-owned practice and our team prides itself on delivering a superior level of customer service.

We know how frustrating it can be to wait weeks to months for a dermatology appointment. While less common, there are certain skin conditions that need an urgent evaluation, and we will always work to accommodate patient visits even with short notice for any dermatology concern.
